2011 is here! Mabuhay—may you and yours be filled with Life, Light and Love
Dearest members and visitors:

What does it mean to be Pinay or Pinoy in the Motherland and on Mother Earth? I have an inkling but it still seems to be a whole life journey. What I know most especially though is that I am very proud to be a Filipino and I know I was born a Filipina for a reason.

Well, I don’t know everything about the reasons as I’m still figuring it out myself. But along the way, I already figured out that there are things that are important to me.

Here they are, not necessarily in order of importance:

God/Goddess/AllThatIs. My family. My kids. My husband. My friends. My wise women friends. My babaylan friends. Diwata. Sacred Feminine coming forward and creating balance. The possible reasons that I was born being a Filipino woman. My Philippine heritage and DNA. My being born a human being. Laughter. Sunshine. Moonlight. Meteor showers. The Universe and the heavenly bodies. The Tree of Life. Seeds. Our ancestors. Our kids, their kids and theirs…

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” —- Lao Tzu

Wishing that for you all that Love, Courage and Strength be a deep and everyday part of your Life journey. May your talents be expressed and your blessings be abundant.

Maligayang Pasko at Manibagong Taon… Happy Winter Solstice, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year! ♥

Where There is Life by Greg Martinez

Greg Martinez is a creative, self-taught artist. Mr. Martinez travels frequently to find inspirational subjects for his work. Although often on the road, he calls the small town of Angono Rizal, Philippines, his home.

This abstract painting depicts a melange of Jeepneys amidst pedestrians walking along the streets. Jeepneys, originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II, are known for their flamboyant decorations and crowded seating.
