To be able to stand in sunlight and look up at the sky and acknowledge how thankful you are for what you have in your life is an empowering act. Being grateful allows one a space to be happy, because happiness comes from being able to appreciate what we have in the moment.
Gratitude attracts more goodness into one’s life. Count your blessings and relish in them. I think that Filipinas are really good at having an attitude of gratitude. I grew up seeing my Lola Tilde and mom see blessings in every situation. This I believe is a source of theirs and all Filipinos resilience in the face of hardships. My mom and Lola understand that their struggles have made them stronger. I learned this from them… And so I too am grateful for the struggles I went through and the valuable lessons they’ve granted me. Push away the things that you worry about so you don’t attract and magnify them more or make them in your life.
Start a gratitude journal. Or practice gratitude mental note-taking when you wake up… or about to go to sleep…
Gratitude is the door that opens to feelings of joy and abundance. Being grateful gives you sparkle… really!! Joseph B. Wirthlin says, “Gratitude is a mark of a noble soul and a refined character. We like to be around those who are grateful. They tend to brighten all around them. They make others feel better about themselves. They tend to be more humble, more joyful, more likable…”
Practice being grateful. You’ll shine.
